Timber Trespass and Damage Reports
In the event of a timber trespass (someone stealing your timber), your attorney will most likely advise you that a value of the removed and/or damaged timber will be required.
William H. Lock & Associates, Inc. can provide a detailed report showing the number of estimated trees, estimated volumes, and estimated values that have been incorrectly removed. Even if the trees are gone, we can measure the stumps and predict the volumes and values removed. It is even possible to make a determination if the stumps have been removed also. Our Foresters take very detailed measurements and create a detailed report that can be used by your attorney for litigation purposes.
Tree damage may also need to be evaluated. Storm and/or insect damage may need to be evaluated for salvage purposes. Records need to be maintained to help in the establishment and continued valuation of your overall stand accounts for tax purposes. Casualty losses require specific information to be maintained and established before any claim can be used.
